In my eyes for a film to be great, It has to be mind bending with stories that are compelling and interesting.

Without doubt my favourite director has to be Christopher Nolan , he is one of the only handful of mainstream Hollywood directors that can produce a blockbuster with critical acclaim . He has a diverse portfolio ranging from Sci-Fi to murder mysteries as well as many reccuring actors such as Christian Bail , Michael Cain , Cilian Murphy and Ken Watanabe who are all top notch.

Inception

Before I went to see Inception , a lot of people were telling me how rubbish it was , I think it was purely because they were a bunch of morons with inadequate mind capacity to understand the film. The success of Nolan's films for me has been casting. I have been a  fan of Leonardo Decaprio since Martin Scorsese's Departed and Cilian Murphy since 28 Days Later. I especially praise Nolan's refrain from overusing CGI ,

Blessed with one of the most original story line which involves a non fictional mad scientist Nikola Tessla   and it is equipped with an amazing twist . I wont go into too much details as i could spoil the plot. If you haven't seen it or heard of it  GO WATCH IT NOW.

I would definitely not want to be Guy Pearce in this

reverse chronologically ordered film.

Innovative and original , i guarantee you haven't seen something like Memento.Please tattoo yourself to remind yourself to watch this you will not regret it .

Batman Begins & The Dark Knight

The reboot of the Batman franchise by Christopher Nolan has grossed roughly 1.4 billion dollars world wide ! to put that into perspective that is enough to buy the whole southern hemisphere 2 cheeseburgers each from Mcdonalds. Batman(as well as Ironman) has always been my superhero of choice as it tells a story of a man with no actual superpowers that can perform the duty better than most superhero's with mutant abilities. I was never a fan of the Tim Burton trilogy , so here are 3 reasons why Nolans Batman kicks ass ; 

• Its Gritty , Realistic and Original. 
• Casting.....yet again! Christian Bale long established himself as my favourite actor since American Phycho and to add to the icing were Michael Caine (Italian job) , Morgan Freeman (Shawshank) , Ken Watanabe (Last Samurai ) and good old Cilian Murphy (28 Weeks Later).

Dark Knight Rises- DUE OUT IN 2012 I am pleased to hear that he will not be using 3D , he will be using IMAX . Tom Hardy from Inception is said to have joined the cast, definitely cant wait!


Man Of Steel  - This upcoming reboot of the Superman series will be directed by Zack Snyder (Man who brought you the re-imagining of Dawn Of The Dead & 300 ) and produced by Nolan . Snyder and Nolan? Say no more.

I genuinely didn't have an idea what to name this blog , so I thought my favourite quote from my favourite film would be a great idea
